All over the world, religious groups build things: temples, mosques, synagogues, churches, fellowship halls. What does this material expression of the spiritual impulse mean? Why do humans build such structure?
On a more local level, what role does our Victorian-era church at the corner of Hope and Main fulfill in our community... not just for Unitarian Universalists, but for the people of Greenfield? Are we making the best possible use of our spiritual architecture? What might we do better in the future? The goal this morning is to prompt deeper reflection on how we use material means to achieve spiritual goals, and start discussions exploring the many possibilities open to us in the 21st century.
