Come, Come Whoever You Are
Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving,
Ours is no caravan of despair,
Even if you have broken your vow a thousand times,
Come, yet again, come ...
~ adapted from Rumi
We welcome you to All Souls Church, Unitarian Universalist
If you are looking for a place where its people and faith will encourage and support your: spiritual growth and discernment; connection to community; discovery of your passion and meaning in life; and, development of a faith grounded in respect for other people and faith traditions; then I encourage you to visit our congregation on most Sundays from September to June, when worship services normally start at
10:00 am. (Please check the worship schedule on the
home page of our website.)
If you come, you will find that we are a people that believe that there is an element of truth in everyone’s voice and in each person’s faith practices. You will therefore find among us people with many different kinds of beliefs (humanist, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, religious naturalism, process theology, and others). What holds us together are our
Unitarian Universalist principles of justice, tolerance, and freedom, lived with love, compassion and respect for one another.
Unitarian Universalism comes out of the Judeo-Christian faiths, and carries forward Judeo-Christian ideals of treating one’s neighbor as one’s self. For us, what is important, is
“the way” that we are with one another (within the congregation and in the community). We seek to keep a promise to one another to listen and care for one another, even when we may disagree with one another.
Perhaps you have found that it is hard to live your ideals in isolation? If so, you are not alone. Most people need communities to affirm their hopes and dreams for one another. We therefore invite you to join this community, where we encourage each other to live by our highest ideals.

Come, Come Whoever You Are
The Rev. Jeanne Lloyd
PS – Our congregation is based on strong lay led and professional religious leadership. The minister and lay members therefore share the pulpit, with the minister preaching twice each month, and lay members sharing their insights and discoveries of their faith journey twice each month. You will therefore find a rich diversity of worship experiences, as we share our spiritual paths with each other.
