Brown-Waite, Former Director of RE, kisses
"Tootsie" as children look on. By
collecting change at their dinner tables and
holding a bake sale the children of All
Souls surpassed their goal, collecting well
over $300 for The Heifer Project. (Recorder

We
offer Religious Education programs and
activities for all ages that support and
encourage liberal religious growth and
learning and promote Unitarian Universalist
Principles. We invite you and your family's
participation and hope that our programs add
richness and depth to your experience here.
We are an active, caring community and work
cooperatively with consideration for each
person's needs and uniqueness. We are
honored to have you and your children join
us.
The
six pillars of UU religious education are:
- UU
Identity - Children develop an
understanding of Unitarian Universalism
and what it means to be a Unitarian
Universalist;
- Our
Jewish Christian Heritage - Children
develop a thorough knowledge of Jewish
Christian history art, music, literature
and their relationships to Unitarian
Universalism;
- World
Religions - Children develop a broad
appreciation of the world’s religions,
especially similarities and differences
with Unitarian Universalism;
- Peace
and Social Justice - Children
develop an attitude of tolerance and
respect for similarities and differences
as well as understanding the effects of
scarcity and abundance in our lives;
- Our
Interdependent Web - Children
develop an understanding of the
interconnectedness of our lives to the
environment, each other, other people
and other creatures; and
- Our
Relationships with Others - Children
develop strong bonds within the church
and our extended community of children,
youth and adults in mutual exploration
of what it means to live religiously.
